Sergeant Joseph Eloi Daigle CD

Sergeant Daigle, a native of New Brunswick, joined the Canadian Forces in 1953, and served with his regiment in Korea, Germany and Cyprus. An outstanding rifle shot, he is a three-time winner of The Queen's Medal for the Canadian Forces (Regular) -in 1963, 1966 and 1970. He competed five times at Bisley and won the rifle individual grand aggregate and Queen Mary Match in 1965.

 

A trohpy named the Daigle Trophy is awarded annually to the Canadian Forces (Regular) four-member unit rifle team that obtains the highest aggregate score in the rifle matches of Stage One of The Queen's Medal Competition during the Canadian Forces Small Arms Competitions.
